Ramon Lorenzo Roman and his wife Nena came to visit me in Lytle the Sunday before Memorial Day 2006. His son Michael and his wife Bebe made the trip with them. After almost 40 years of not seeing each other, we talked about the times we shared from living in Smeltertown. The memories are strong from those years so long ago.

 Lencho has a lot better memory than me about people and times.(Note: Lencho write them down and send them to me. Go down the name list and see who I am missing. I Know a bunch are. Also the surrounding area)

Lencho looked good, except for a bummed up knee and was in good spirits, as I remember him to have always been. He has taking to going with the shaved head look and it kinda fits him. Lencho and Nena were visiting his son and wife down in Corpus and they made the trip up to Lytle.. I very much appreciate the extra effort he made to come visit me. He is only now talking of maybe retiring and going that back in New Mexico, the state I last saw him in 40 years ago. The older we get the more we want to come back into our comfort zone.

This note is a reminder to both of us to try to keep the memories from the past alive for our children and their children.
