into one glorious clump. This is here as a reference and I hope to properly list everyone in the family tree. There are so many relationships that a Smeltertown Family Tree is going to happen.

I just received an email from my brother Jesus Arturo Olivas, an artist and teacher in ALBQ.

He is correct.  Our mother's father Jesus Ernesto Alva is the brother of those mentioned in his email.  Further, on the maternal side of our mother Elisa Alva, her maternal grandfather was Preciliano Valverde who married Inez Herrera (we think that is her maiden name)  their children are Juan Valverde, Julia Valverde, Francisco de Asis Valverde, Franciso ??? Valverde.  One of their sons (youngest Francisco?? worked for Asarco and married a woman named Carmen Lopez.  Francisco de Asis married a woman name Paula Morga(Mayorga???)

Uncle Juan believed was killed and Julia Valverde married Ernesto Alva son  Luis Alva don't know his wife's name they lived in Anarpa, their children's name are Ernest, Luis, Jose, Benjamin, Tomas, Juanita and Concepcion daughter  and others son, for whom we do not know their names.  Our grandmother Julia Valverde oldest son, Ricardo Rodriguez, was of a relationship prior to her marrying our grandfather Ernesto"Jesus"Alva.  Our uncle Ricardo, played for the Smeltertown baseball team.  It is believed that he was the pitcher on the team, he married a woman named  Francisca Roman, they have five children who grew up in El Paso.

Julia's other children are Rafaela Alva, who worked the fields of El Paso, and later migrated to the Central Valley of California where she lives with her children Jerry, Ofelia and Carmen Alva, Rafaela's eldest daughter was raised in Smelter her name is Julie Alva who married Jose Vasquez. Julia Valverde Alva's other children are Concepcion Alva, and our mother the youngest Elisa Alva Olivas, who married Jose Natividad Olivas, whom moved to California in 1955 after I was born. 

My name is Beatrice Elena Olivas.  my parents have 5 children, me the eldest, Jose F. Olivas, Jesus Arturo Olivas, Annamarie Olivas, Marina Christina Olivas, whom have  resided in California all their lives with the exception of J.
