Have you ever heard of the Ogas family; mother, three daughters.
Oldest daughter was Chole, she married in 1953 or 1954; the second daughter was Margarita, and I don't remember the youngest daughter's name. I dated Margarita in 1953 and 1954 while i was stationed at Biggs AFB.
I was surprised to read about Smeltertown, as i spent many hours there. There was a two lane bridge across the river into New Mexico, which i imagine has been done away with.
Where did all the people go?

From Sam Roman and a stroke of luck in our history++++
Mike:
Soledad and Margarita were my aunts. Gertrudis Bustamante Ogas was my
grandmother, and Heraclio was her second husband. The third daughter that
Jim mentions was Julieta. Gertrudis was married to Rafael Dominguez who
died in March 10 1921. Rafael and Gertrudis were the parents of my
mother, Rafaela. Julieta died in 1967 and Margarita died in 2004, and
Soledad died in 2007. Of course my grandmother has died also.
Heraclio was the father of Soledad, Margarita, Julieta, and Alfredo
(Quesitos). Unfortunately they are dead. Quesitos died in
2006.
Hope this information helps.
