Maria Dolores Mier Clark 71 passed
away Saturday, March 5, 2011. She was born March 12, 1939 in Smeltertown, to
Juan A. Mier Sr. and Amalia Sepulveda Mier. She was a devoted wife, mother and
grandmother who enjoyed life, loved to dance and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys,
Notre Dame Football fan. She was a generous woman; one of the original
organizers of the Smeltertown Buena Vista Annual Reunion & an avid Church
volunteer. She is preceded in death by brothers Carlos Mier, Daniel Mier Sr.,
and Salvador Mier. She is survived by her husband, Troy Richard Clark, sons Troy
Curtis Clark (Michelle) and Joseph Roman Clark (Tanya), sister, Irene Mier
Camacho, brothers, Juan A. Mier Jr., Enrique Mier and grandchildren Troy
Austin, Jordyn Rene and Troy Tyler Clark. Visitation will be held on Thursday,
March 10, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Martin
Funeral Home West. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 12:30
PM at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 400 W. Sunset Road; Father Joe Molina
officiating. The family requests that contributions be made, in lieu of
flowers, to Jerome L. Greene Sjögren's Syndrome Center 5200 Eastern Ave., Suite
4100, Room 413, Mason F. Lord Building, Center Tower, Baltimore, Maryland
21224. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
