Hi Miguel,

   Thanks again for the info. I showed my mother a copy of your message and her face just lights up when somebody mentions “La Esmelda” or Buena Vista!  She remembers very well the Escandon family. She was telling me the Escandon family maintained and did much work up on the “Christo Rey”, mountain to this day I believe. Also, she thinks Ramon Hernandez was either a God Son or nephew of  Paula Hernandez in Buena Vista. My mother also told me that her grandmother, Reyes Guaderrama was a midwife who helped deliver children in Smeltertown and Buena Vista. Another family from Buena Vista that she mentioned was family of Martin Soto.

Just another little piece to add to the puzzle. Who knows, others that see your web site might recognize my mother and her family.
