JOSE LARA JUAREZ, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, dear friend and lifelong El Paso resident, passed away on February 5, 2005 at the age of 87 years and will be missed dearly. He was born December 4, 1917 in Smelter Town to the late Fernando and Dolores Lara Juarez. Jose served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII, serving in N. Africa, Italy and France. Mr. Juarez retired from ASARCO and was a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where he served in the Men's Club, as an usher and wherever needed for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Dominga Payan Juarez; two sons, Jose Fernando and Santiago (Jim) Juarez; three brothers, Jesus, Daniel and Samuel Juarez; and one sister, Prajedis Juarez. Mr. Juarez is survived by his sister, Gregoria Rodriguez of El Paso; his loving children, Sara Ramirez and husband Roger of Aurora, Colorado, Rosario Rubio and husband Manny of El Paso, Josephine Capshaw and husband Randy of Dallas, Isabel McFarlane of El Paso and Jose Juarez Jr. and wife Olga of El Paso; ten grandchildren, Paul and Joshua Ramirez, Aaron and wife Natascha and Laara Rubio, Randall, Dinah, Krista, and Amber Capshaw, Jimmy McFarlane, and Jose Juarez III. Visitation for Mr. Juarez will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2005 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Avenue. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 7:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 519 South Latta. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Esteban Sescon, officiating. The rite of committal and interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery where he will be laid to rest alongside his loving wife Dominga. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made on behalf of Mr. Juarez to Hospice of El Paso. Service arrangements entrusted to the care of Martin Funeral Home Central.
