Email via Jess Carbajal for Maria Chetrancolo

Jess, thank you for the Esmelda memories. We lived between the two bridges
The Daniel Ortega family lived to our left and the David Garcia family on the right. We lived on "B"
Street Oh what memories I have, Gloria Garcia made the best flour tortillas. Like all the kids we went to E B Jones. My grandfather
Pedro (Pete) Lopez and uncle Frank (Pancho) Lopez worked en La Planta de Cemento and
my Dad Juan Lopez worked (40 yrs)in those days "La Fundicion". Remember going to the "Y" to see Flash Gordon and XMAS time they
would give us a bag with a big red apple and an orange and of course Ribbon candy.etc. We use to go to the place where they
made bricks to eat moras.
My uncle Panfilo Duenez Sr married Josefina Meir.He also worked at ASARCO, he retired from there. When they widen the highway
we moved to la Calabera and the rest of the family to El Paso.
