Ramona Jasso Aguilar
LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Ramona Jasso Aguilar, 62, of Las Cruces, N.M. and formerly of Los Angeles, Calif., died March 4, 2000, at her home. She was the sister of Antonio Jasso of Newton.
She was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Smeltertown, Texas, to Roberto and Paula Medina Jasso. She married Pedro Aguilar. He survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Pete Aguilar Jr. of Los Angeles and David Martin Aguilar of Las Cruces; three daughters, Marie Ysela Aguilar of Orange County, Calif., Sylvia Anne Aguilar of Los Angeles, and Floria Emily Gardea of Tucson, Ariz.; six sisters, Trinidad Jasso, Emilia Porras, Justa Ortiz, Dominga Alonzo and Josefina Galvan, all of El Paso, Texas, and Julia Keesee of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Funeral mass was Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with Father John Tickle as celebrant. Interment was in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Service arrangements were made by Baca's Funeral Chapels in Las Cruces.
A memorial was established with the American Heart Association, 2929 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix AZ 85016-8034.
