Rosario Bustillos 1930 - 2008
Rosario Bustillos (Chayo), 77, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008 to be with our Lord. He was born in El Paso, Texas on October 7, 1930 to Reyes and Micaela Bustillos. He was a resident of Smeltertown, Texas prior to moving to the Upper Valley in El Paso in 1971. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Reyes Jr., Andres, sisters; Maria, Julia, Trini, and son, George Bustillos. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cecilia Bustillos, his sister, Augustina of Pittsburg, CA., sons; Rosario Bustillos Jr. of Santa Teresa, NM., Daniel Bustillos of El Paso, TX., Hector Flores of Fairfield, CA., Jose Flores of San Antonio, TX., Armando Flores of Las Vegas, NV., Ricardo Flores of El Paso, TX., and Leonardo Flores of Phoenix, AZ., daughters; Micaela Bustillos of Fairfield, CA. and Violet Flores of El Paso, TX., 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Rosario was a decorated Korean Conflict Veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Army and was Honorably Discharged; he was a member of the VFW Post 9173. He worked at El Paso Brick Company prior to retiring from Mountain Pass Packing Co. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Mission and Mt. Cristo Rey Restoration Committee. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, January 7, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Doniphan. Vigil service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Assisi Mission. Sons to act as pallbearers. Estela Sanchez
Estela Sanchez was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was born August 11, 1945 in Smeltertown, El Paso to Jesus and Josepha Lopez. She is survived by her husband, Eusebio Sanchez and children Eusebio Jr., Benny, Bonnie, Ana, and Jesse. Estela is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Adrian, Lya, Alex, and Zoe, her sisters Socorro Villalobos, and Maria Luisa Lopez and her brothers Benito, George, Samuel, and Daniel Lopez. Mom, you have touched our lives eternally and the memory of your love and spirit will live in our hearts until we are with you again. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 24, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Templo La Trinidad (3417 Polk) where prayer service will begin at 6:30 PM. Natalia Sanchez
On Thursday, February 14, 2008 our beloved Natalia Sanchez entered eternal life joining her loving husband Enrique Sanchez, Sr. She was born on December 1, 1929 in Smeltertown, Texas to the late Wenceslao and Petra Terrazas.She resided in Gary, Indiana for 34 years and in El Paso, Texas for 44 years. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend with a heart of gold will live in our hearts for the rest of our lives and we look forward to the day we see her once again. She is preceded in death by her sister, Socorro Gomez. She is survived by her sons Roberto (Jan), Tomas (Rita), Ricardo (Yolanda), Benjamin (Diana), Enrique Jr.(Veronica); daughters Lucia Badillo and Sylvia (Raul) Leal; 18 beautiful grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Other survivors include sister Consuelo Garcia; sisters-in-law Evangelina Narvaez, Romelia Perez, Juanita Sanchez, Emma Sanchez; brothers-in-law Rev. Ascencion (Martha) and Manuel (Sonia); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Mrs. Sanchez will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Raphael Catholic Church, interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Steven A. Badillo, Benjamin M. Sanchez, Alex T. Badillo, Nicholas T. Sanchez, David A. Sanchez, Raul A. Leal and Keolu Nishimoto. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Mt. Carmel Funeral Home.
