ARIAS, SOLEDAD devoted wife and mother, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2001 in a local hospital at the age of 79. She grew up in Smelter Town and the Buena Vista area. Mrs. Arias was a resident of Borderland, Texas for 50 years and was a member of San Francisco De Assisi Catholic Church in Montoya. Mrs. Arias was a proud American and United States citizen. Survived by her sons Vicente, Gerardo, and Luis Arias, daughter Irene Arias, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, and 7 sisters. Visitation will be held Friday, December 14,

 2001 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home West where rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 15, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at San Francisco De Assisi Catholic Church, Fr. Alejandro Juarez officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery.
