Adolfo (Adula) Arellano Sr.

Adolfo (Adula) Arellano Sr., 83, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away peacefully at home in Canutillo on May 9, 2009. He was surrounded by all of his family as he made his final journey home. He was born in Smelter Town to Micaela and Agustin Arellano. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Amada. Left to cherish his memory is daughter, Lilia(Teddy)Martinez (Jesus), and son Adolfo(Rudy)Arellano Jr. (Vanessa) and five grandchildren, Mariza, Abel and Gina Martinez and Angelina and Alexandra Arellano. His surviving siblings are brothers Salvador (Beatriz) and Alfonso (Beatriz) Arellano and sisters, Esperanza Lopez and Maria Arellano and his uncle Refugio Arellano (Ofelia). He will once again reunite with his parents, brothers Agustin Jr., Manuel and Jose Arellano and three stepsons, Daniel, David and Eusebio Hernandez III. Like his four brothers he proudly served his country during World War II. He was employed by ASARCO and retired after 38 years of service. Adolfo lived a wonderful, happy and healthy life and will be greatly missed. He was loved by all who knew him but he leaves them with many treasured and cherished memories. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Rosary at 7:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Doniphan. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 18, 2009 at 9:30 am at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Canutillo, TX. Pallbearers: Abel Martinez, Oscar Lopez, Jr, Danny and Joseph Montoya, Manuel Romero Jr, Ricardo, Gerardo and Javier Arellano. Honorary Pallbearers are Oscar Lopez Sr, Ray and David Montoya, Christopher and Manuel Romero Sr, Darian Valdez, Pablo Arellano, Ignacio Gonzalez, Gabriel Lopez, Ralph Martinez, Leyva Ramos, Pascual Marin and Luis Ortega. His entire family extends a sincere thanks to all who called or visited him during his illness. Mil gracias to the V.A., Dr. Valilis, Envision Hospice and their staff.
