Luis was still a kid when he was killed in a tragic accident. He and other were playing stick ball on EB Jones street

and he ran out onto Doniphan Dr after a ball and got hit by a truck..  Below is more information from Rico De Santos.

From Lencho Roman:

Mike,

The kid's name was Luis Aguirre Jr.  I was playing with him.  We were on EB Jones Street.  It was a late afternoon.  The ball went across the highway and Kiki went to get it.  He did not notice the semi as he ran back across the highway.  The back wheels crushed his head.  That was  a sad time.  It was around 1956 or 1957.  Lencho

His name was Luis Aguirre, they called him "Bish". He was Chente's, Bobby's
, Chefina's, and Bertha's brother.
He also had 2 other sisters but their names escape me right now. One of the
sisters was a realy good softball
player. Bish was also a real good baseball player who exhibited a lot of
potential.
And you are right, they did live next door to Nene Mier.

A bit more from Rico De Santos.  Relationship via marriage.

Mike:

Chente is Vicente,Norberta is Berta, Chefina is Josefina, Roberto is Bobby.

Sabina Alonzo is my Uncle Luis De Santos' wife's sister. His wife is an Alonzo.

I think the youngest sister was Araceli. They used to call her Sally. Hell of a

softball pitcher. I still haven't been able to remember the other sister's name.

It'll come to me!

Thanks,

More from Jesus Urquidi.  A bit different take but several names.

How you doing Mike,I don't know if you remember me , I grew up on Willie Barraza
street next door to Kiki Marquez. My brother is Lucas and all the rest.
One correction I like for you to know is when I was reading the items from Penti
Ceniceros it was mention about a guy named Luis Aguirre that was run over
by a truck, well that part is true but thetruth is it happen right in front
of Ben Mejia,s store, which was street level. The person at the store that afternoon
was Fina Herrera and Lita Mejia.Fina is Piquas sister and she worked there.
The reason I know this is because I was with him ,
we were on our way back from the pompa, (the red building at the far east end
of the town)below Asarco, I went inside to get us a coke when. We
think he threw a small fish we had caught at the red pompa into the street and then
Luis went to go get it before the truck ran it over but the truck was going at a
high rate of speed that he missed judge. That was the way it
happen nobody else was with us, just to get the story straight.
